Impeachment: American Crime Story (2021)

One of my favorite series, but based entirely on the performance of Sarah Paulson, is Impeachment: American Crime Story. As I was a young adult when all the real-life happenings were occurring, I wasn’t too much into politics and only mildly paid attention to the Linda Tripp stories.

I actually watched them film a few scenes from my hotel room , but more on that near the end!

Rotate!

The series opens with what is supposed to be the mall in Washington D.C. In reality, it is the South Bay Galleria at 1815 Hawthorne Boulevard in Redondo Beach.

I actually stayed near this mall during a recent trip as I was in the area for a Buffy: The Vampire Slayer event in Torrance.

With the exception of some signage and kiosks, all is about the same here.

While watching the series live, I immediately recognized this house as it was Courtney Cox’s home in Masters of the Universe. It is located at 2154 Hill Drive in Los Angeles.

Although Paula Jones’ apartment is supposed to be in Long Beach, they shot it at 15 Driftwood Street in Marina Del Rey, California.

The Biltmore Hotel at 506 S Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, was used for several scenes in the movie.

The hotel is probably most known for its appearance in Beverly Hills Cop.

This spot is used in countless films and television shows.

This hallways also appears at the end of Pretty In Pink.

This meeting took place at 3701 Wilshire Boulevard. Also used in many productions, it is most recognized for its appearance in Earthquake, Zodiac, and most recently Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

The Arkansas Courthouse was shot at the Second Church of Christ Scientist at 948 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles. (I had been here previously for another film, hence the non-screen matching shots.)

This one took some research, but I found the antique mall at 12301 Whittier Boulevard in Whittier, California.

My 1988 shot of the CBS building!

The Radio Shack was located at 3027 North San Fernando Road in Los Angeles.

This restaurant is at 13422 Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.

This house, best known for Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead, is located at 15548 Iron Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.

I recognized this immediately as it is briefly scene in Moving Violations. It was shot at the Westfield Promenade Mall in Woodland Hills, California.

This scene was shot at 80 South Oakland Avenue in Pasadena. I recognized this as well for its appearance in Scream 2.

This was shot at Los Angeles City Hall at 200 North Spring Street.

Finally, many of the hotel scenes were shot at the Holiday Inn (now Hotel Burbank) at 150 East Angeleno Avenue in Burbank, California. This used to be my go-to hotel for many years and I was staying there while they were filming!

Here is a sample shot of my messy hotel room as compared to how it appears in the series.

Here are some behind the scenes shots I took of them setting up the restaurant. I always find it amazing that they replaced every table, chair, plate and glass with their own! You can see they also added signs to show it as a Residence Inn.

Some more shots of the filming shoot prep.

I watched Sarah shoot a couple scenes from my hotel window, and later went down to grab some shots.

Here is a shot I took of them filming as compared to how it appeared in the series:

Sarah leaving for the day!

One of my favorite scenes…… ROTATE!
