Brian DePalma has made some classics (Carrie), some solid thrillers (Blow Out), and some big stinkers.... like Raising Cain. Doing his best to over-imitate Hitchcock, this film is doubly worsened by a bad script and bad acting by everyone. Nonetheless, while in the San Jose area several years ago, I decided to check out a couple locations.
Most of the park scenes were shot at Shoup Park, located at 400 University Avenue in Los Altos, California.
The hotel was located at 520 Cowper Street in Palo Alto, California.
The police station was shot at Mountain View City Hall, located at 500 Castro Street in Mountain View, California.
The motel was located at 15 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, California.
