House was released in the United States on February 28, 1986. It was one of the earlier horror-comedy hybrids.
The exterior for the house was shot at 329 Melrose Avenue in Monrovia, California.
The house is just a couple blocks from the Leigh’s house in Christine.
Interiors were shot at Ren-Mar Studios.
I finally went and got shots of this scene where they end up in front of the camera store at 12174 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. This is the same street used decades later in Freakier Friday.
