The Stand (2020)

I originally covered original 1994 mini-series for Stephen King’s The Stand, which was mostly shot in Utah. The new version is just now beginning on CBS All Access with mixed reviews, but I’ll give it a chance. Obviously I’m not traveling right now but recognized many of the locations and wanted to share with fans. Hence, most of these are Google Streetview shots for now, but a few actual photos from previous trips are included as well.

Frannie’s house is located at 2837 Gordon Avenue in Surrey, British Columbia, although it’s most seen from the back alley on Asbeck Lane.

I recognized this area immediately as I covered a house in the same neighborhood for TRON: Legacy. The last photograph is mine taken from the beach path.

The boardwalk was shot at Steveston Fisherman’s Wharft in Steveston, British Columbia. This shot was taken by me when I was doing locations for Bates Motel.

Harold’s house is located at 2850 McKenzie Avenue in Surrey, however his garage appears to be Frannie’s house or the house next to it.

These scenes were shot at Moncton Street and Second Avenue in Richmond, British Columbia. These are my photographs as this same location was used in Scary Movie.

Although it is supposed to be Boulder, Colorado, this was shot at Leigh Square in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Larry’s apartment is at 1086 Bute Street in Vancovuer.

Mother Abigail’s house is a façade built on a dead end next to the house at 4410 47a Street in Delta, British Columbia.

Larry’s billboard is between 325 and 333 Cambie Street in Vancouver.

This New York City scene was shot mostly on West Pender and Howe Streets.
