Mork and Mindy (1979)

Today marks the anniversary of MORK & MINDY which premiered on September 14, 1979. While in Colorado, I visited a few of the locations used in the series. Special thanks to the Mork & Mindy Locations Guide for their assistance.

The opening credits were shot right near the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) at 1850 Table Mesa Drive in Boulder, Colorado.

This is the road up to NCAR and next to the field where they fly the kite.

Although the actual Boulder sign is located elsewhere, the drive-by in the credits is on Boulder Canyon Drive.

Here they walk to the music store at 1133 Pearl Street in Boulder.

The deli is now a sushi restaurant at 1117 Pearl Street. They even have a “Mork & Mindy” roll!

The house is located at 1619 Pine Street in Boulder. Lots of new trees and foliage now covering it up.

A few random shots of when the production returned to Colorado to shoot some episodes….

In 2009, I was attending John Krasinski’s film. Behind me I kept hearing someone giggling that sounded familiar. Finally I peered back and realized Robin Williams was sitting right behind me! I didn’t bother him for a pic (I was going after Chris Meloni), but you can see him here in the background greeting some of the cast.
