Carbon Copy (1981)

Today marks the 40th anniversary for the release of Carbon Copy. Although there is no way this film could be made currently, it was strange it was even able to be made at the time, but it does hold the notoriety of the film debut of Denzel Washington. Below are a few locations I’ve visited over the years for the films.

The opening shot was at the actual City Hall in San Marino, located at 2200 Huntington Drive.


Best known as the Mommie Dearest house, this home is located at 417 Amapola Lane in Bel Air.

This scene was shot by Pasadena City Hall, located at 1210 North Garfield Avenue.

This office building is located at 100 West Walnut Street in Pasadena.

The Bagel was formerly located at 1052 South Fairfax Avenue.

This men’s clothing store was located at 240 South Lake Avenue in Pasadena.

The hotel was previously located at the corner of Orange Drive and Sunset Boulevard.

The bank was shot at 251 South Lake Avenue in Pasadena.

The basketball court is across the street from the Winchell’s Donuts at 7158 Melrose Avenue.

This was shot next to the building at 7006 Lanewood Avenue.

This was shot by the corner of Yucca Street and Ivar Avenue.

This was shot on the 6100 block of Yucca Street.

This area is on the 11200 block of Chandler Boulevard in North Hollywood.
