Night of the Creeps (1986)

Detective Cameron: I got good news and bad news, girls. The good news is your dates are here.

Sorority Sister: What's the bad news?

Detective Cameron: They're dead.

Night of the Creeps was released on this day in 1986. Below are a few of the locations I’ve visited over the years…

Night of the Creeps (2).jpg

In the opening flashback, the first sorority house we see is located at 814 W 28th Street near University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

We then go to the main sorority house at 716 West 28th Street, but more on this later.

In present day, we start on this house at 639 West 28th Street.

The fraternity is across the street at 642 West 28th Street.

We switch over to a different campus, now we’re at UCLA in front of Haines Hall.

In another part of town, the cops drive by this building at 14530 Sylvan Street.

They go around the corner and turn into the alley off Vesper Avenue between Sylvan and Erwin Streets.

And finally end up at the back of the store at 14540 Sylvan Street.

This was the map that director Fred Dekker made me at a convention to help track down this location, but never found it in time before Paul did!

The bus crash took place in front of 4063 Radford Street, however it looks completely different now with new apartments. This is next to the studios used in Scream 3.

This is also the area where Tom Atkins was supposed to live as seen in a deleted scene:

Phil’s diner is seen in the background, but it has since been moved to a new location since filming.

Back to the main sorority house at 716 West 28th Street.

I’ve been lucky to meet many of the cast and director of this film:
