ORIGINAL POST: Today they released the official trailer for Freakier Friday, the sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. As they were filming, I tracked down a few locations, but for now just sharing the ones that show up in the preview. As I haven’t necessarily visited all of these locations yet, and some no longer exist, a few comparison shots are Google streetview or photos found online for reference.
First, a few locations I have been able to visit in person…
Anna’s house is located at 1318 Stratford Avenue in South Pasadena, California. (This is not far from Laurie Strode’s house in Halloween!) The opening shot, however, is a few streets down on Bushnell Avenue.
This is the intersection of Bestor Boulevard and Iliff Street in the Pacific Palisades. Most of the houses here were destroyed in the 2025 fires. (Google Streetview)
They did return to Tess’ house at 732 Chapala Drive in the Pacific Palisades. Sadly, this home was destroyed in the fires earlier this year.
The school scenes were shot at Newbury Park High School at 46 North Reino Road in Newbury Park, California. (Pictures found online)
The bachelorette party was shot at The Break Room at 3515 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. (Pictures found online)
The pickleball scenes were shot at the Altadena Town & Country Club at: 2290 Country Club Drive. Sadly, this was destroyed in the fires earlier this year as well.
Dancing practice took place at the Ebell of Los Angeles at 743 South Lucerne Boulvard.
