The 2003 Freaky Friday remake is celebrating it’s 17th anniversary today! Starring one of my all-time favorites, Jamie Lee Curtis, who rocks the role like no one else could. I’ve been to an number of locations over the years and own a few props from the film as well!
Her house is located at 732 Chapala Drive in the Pacific Palisades. This would also be her house in You Again.
This area has since been built over but was near the corner of 7th Street and Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, California.
The restaurant was at 423 Gin Ling Way in Chinatown in Los Angeles.
The elementary school was at Dorris Place Elementary School at 2225 Dorris Place. This school has been used countless times including Robocop and Cooties.
Sunset Ridge High School was played by Palisades High School at 15777 Bowdoin Street in Pacific Palisades. This school has been used many times as well, most notably for 1976’s Carrie and Savage Streets.
The cofee shop was located at 1725 Broadway in Santa Monica.
This drive by shot is on Temescal Canyon Road in the Pacific Palisades.
One of my favorite scenes takes place at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
Of course, I had to re-enact the scene of her leaving the shop….
I actually own her sunglasses from that scene!
I also own her wardrobe from an early scene as well as her reading glasses in the film.
