I went to many of these locations over a decade ago, but finally flushing out a full page for the locations I visited!
The opening scene takes place atop the The Culver hotel near the intersection of Main Street and Culver Boulevard in Culver City, California. This locale was heavily featured in Under The Rainbow.

Frank’s house was on the 300 block of North Boylston Street. This whole area was demolished and redone many years ago. Since my pictures, the stairs across the street have been demolished and now apartments reside at 327 North Boylston Street.

This is on the same street looking down at Colton Street, which used to continue on up the hill.

Here they are turning on Moorpark Street, passing by the house on the corner at 4903 Odessa Avenue. (The houses across the street are no longer the same, but the corner house remains the same!)

Here they are driving down the 5100 block of Libbit Avenue towards Magnolia Boulevard. The ice cream truck explodes in front of 5166 Libbit Avenue.

Here they turn onto the 500 block of Gallardo Street driving toward North Mission Road.

They then turn onto the 1st Street bridge heading toward downtown. (The bridge has had even more renovations since these pictures were taken.)

Here they drive by the building at 1731 North Spring Street on the left.

The video store was located at 23705 Malibu Road in Malibu, California.

The movie police station was shot at 10000 Washington Boulevard in Culver City.

Here they pass by this house at 13701 Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades, California.

The mansion is located at 28824 Cliffside Drive in Malibu, California. It’s been used in several films, including A Very Brady Sequel.

The family house is at 3831 Oakfield Drive in Sherman Oaks, California.

The hotel “next to” the tar pits is at 200 S Pine Avenue in Long Beach, California.

Thanks to Phil Grishayev for finding the apartment, located at 11220 Moorpark Street in Studio City.
