Obsession

Obsession (2026)

I thought I should finally put together a page for Obsession when I realized people were asking for some missing locations! I was fortunate to see the film before the hype was in overdrive, so it was a pleasant surprise to watch. I’m most excited that we’re verging back into a new golden era of independent films, showing that great ideas and storytelling will prevail over studio-driven over-budgeted disasters.

The movie begins at an often-used location, Cadillac Jack’s Diner at 9457 San Fernando Road in Sun Valley. This has been used in countless productions, most memorably in Grease 2 and recently in Yellowjackets.

Bear buys the One Wish Willow at The Green Man, located at 824 North Hollywood Way in Burbank.

This is a great little store and they are welcoming to fans.

Although they don’t sell One Wish Willows, I encourage fans to make a purchase during their visit!

The pub scenes were shot at The Roguelike Tavern at 11618 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. It has since been closed, but I grabbed a few shots through the windows as it is going through renovations.

Nikki’s house was a bit trickier to find. Many people thought it was shot in Burbank or somewhere in the valley, it was actually at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. It is a private campus, so not available for a casual visit. This was also used heavily in Promising Young Woman.

Cassell’s Music was a real music store at 901 N Maclay Avenue in San Fernando. Sadly, it closed in July 2025. I grabbed a few pictures through the windows. The last comparison is what it used to look like on the exterior.

One of the best scenes was the dinner date. This was filmed at Little Toni’s at 4747 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood. They have also been very nice to fans.

I’m wondering how many times people have already recreated this scene in front of the cash register!

During my visit, I got there right when they opened to grab some pictures, but a few teenage boys were right ahead of me and I heard them request “The Obsession Booth.” But they were nice enough to let me take a few pictures before they sat down.

Later Bear returns to The Green Man…

I should note that while I have not found Ian’s house, it was likely in Altadena as it was apparently destroyed in the fires from couple years ago.

What I could not find was Bear’s house. Thanks to a friend (whom I’m waiting to see if they want to be credited), it was found and located at 10733 Landale Street in Toluca Lake. I found some photos of the property online and did my best to show the match ups.

I was able to go to a special screening at Alamo Drafthouse and got these great swag items!
