The Seventh Sign (1988)

One of my favorite 80’s movies that I feel still holds up to this day is The Seventh Sign. Many years ago I went to the house, but have been adding a few more spots to this page. More coming soon!

The house is at 902 Palms Boulevard in Venice, California. These pictures were taken back in 2011 and the house has been renovated since that time.

The pictures below were taken in 2024 and as you can see, the trees now cover up a lot of the property and the carriage house was renovated.

This is one of the exits at Los Angeles City Hall.

This is the Paradise Motel at 1116 Sunset Boulevard. Not screen-matching here but used photos during my visit for Silent Night Deadly Night Part 4.

The often used Lincoln Heights Jail at 421 North Avenue 19 in Los Angeles.

Many scenes were shot at the Ebell of Los Angeles at 743 South Lucerne Boulevard. Thanks to Dakota for the great visit!

Here is the preschool they visit early on in the movie…

Later on this shows up again in a dream sequence…

If I remember correctly this is supposed to be at the Vatican. Apparently this spot was also used in a Taylor Swift music video.

This is a great scene where an older priest recognizes a face from the past that has not aged….

Just outside of the Ebell on the Lucerne Boulevard side…

This same spot shows up later in an night scene…

In the first shot, you can see Claridge Jewelers in the background. This was located at 1245 3rd Street in the Santa Monica Promenade. The reference pictures were all I could find to show what it looked like back in the day.

Here are what those spots look like now, nothing recognizable anymore.

This alley is right behind the promenade at the corner of 3rd Court and Wilshire.

It was difficult to match a whole lot that’s still there, but this is Wilshire between 3rd Court and 3rd Street Promenade.

This walkway is long gone, but also appeared to be on the promenade, with the one big building still seen in the background.
