Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

Today marks the anniversary of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES, released August 1, 1986. I visited these locations several years ago, but just now getting around to posting them. Although the first two were shot on the east coast, the next three were shot in California. This time, we head to Georgia to stand in for Crystal Lake…errr… Forest Green.

We’ll start with the police station located in 1174 Monticello St SW in Covington, Georgia. This town was used extensively in many films including Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2, Vacation, Vampire Diaries, and Doctor Sleep.

The camp is the Hard Labor Creek State Park at 5 Hard Labor Creek Road in Rutledge, Georgia. They are usually very welcoming to fans and will give you keys to explore the park and location, as long as it’s not being rented.

These shots are right outside the camp and on the drive to the cabins.

The cemetery is located at 360 West Central Ave in Madison, Georgia. The cemetery gates were built for the film. The actual spot for Jason’s grave was filmed elsewhere.

This is approximately the spot for this shot, but you can no longer see the water tower in the background.

Karloff's General Merchandise is near Highway 213 & Old Starrsville Road outside Covington, Georgia.

Back to the police department…
