A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child

Many fans regard this as one of the worst of the series, and while it's not a favorite of mine, I liked a lot of the ideas and atmosphere they created. While the sets were created at a then-warehouse at 8985 Venice Boulevard in Culver City, there are a few other locations used in the film.

Not a whole lot of locations for this one.   The steps the asylum appear to be the Janss Steps at UCLA.

For Springwood High, they returned to Venice High School at 13000 Venice Boulevard.

The exterior of the Crave Inn is not really shown and is not in the same area as the previous movie.  This time it's located on Main Street in Culver City on the street leading to the famous Culver Hotel (9400 Culver Boulevard).

If all locations were this easy and had the company name on the building, this is located in downtown Los Angeles....

Late addition, a brief hospital scene was filmed at the Veterans Hospital near UCLA.  For those wanting to visit, this spot is easily found at building 238 across the street from the Brentwood Theatre.

I've been fortunate to meet a few of the cast throughout the years:
